Brokentalkers joined forces with one of Ireland’s foremost traditional Irish musicians, Danny O’Mahony, to create Bellow, a theatre performance exploring the weight of tradition, the capriciousness of memory and the artist’s need to express their true self.

The silicone mask was modelled on one of Danny’s childhood pictures. The mixture of expression and realism in the mask, combined with the skilful movement of dancer Emily Kilkenny Roddy, were key to bringing the character of young Danny to life on stage.
