Design & Fabrication for Stage

A scientist. A parrot. A lifelong friendship. Grey Matter explores the joyful relationship between a boy and his pet parrot as they journey through life together, experiencing the highs, the lows, and everything in between. Grey Matter was created by the collaborative team of performer and writer Paul Curley and ArtFX's Ger Clancy, set designer and puppetmaker.

Grey Matter's set design is influenced by the periodic table and plays on notions of cell structure. The parrot puppet was designed as a loveable and relatable character.
