Exit, Pursued by a Bear is Pan Pan Theatre's response to Shakespeare's The Winter’s Tale from the perspective of the bear.

The process of designing and creating the custom masks began with a clay sculpture of the bear head, from which a plaster mold and then a light plastic shell was formed. The plastic base was transformed with painted eyes and noses and then careful application of individual sections of fur to achieve a convincing and realistic appearance. The final masks were impactful but also comfortable and lightweight.
